VTG OLD RARE "RINGLING BROS BARNUM & BAILEY CIRCUS" LION BRASS BOTTLE CAN OPENER
Description
The "Ringling Brothers Circus" was a circus founded in USA in 1884 by
five of the seven Ringling Brothers. In 1907 it acquired the "Barnum & Bailey Circus",
merging them in 1919 to become
"Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus", promoted as "The Greatest Show on Earth".
This very interesting and unusual
figural
bottle opener is made of solid brass.
The top part represents a lion's head with an open mouth which is the bottle opener.
The end of the opener is with pointed top for puncturing a cans.
On the handle has
embossed inscriptions: "Ringling Bros Barnum & Bailey Circus World"
and below that on a globe has: "
THE GREATEST PLACE ON EARTH".
On the back in raised letters is written: "RB
&
BB Circus World".
The opener is in overall
good
preserved authentically condition for its age.
