Vintage 1960's Silk Supply Drop Parachute

Vintage 1960's Silk Supply Drop Parachute.
In good vintage condition with some normal wear and tear.
The cords are a tangled mess.
Measures around 5.5 feet across.
I was told that this was used by the forestry department in California, to supply firefighters with food and equipment. But I have no proof of that.
We have made no attempt to clean or restore this item. We will leave any cleaning or restoration up to the buyer.
