Military Vintage Jan. 24, 1944 WWII Camouflage Parachute w/riser

This WWII Military 28 ft. Camouflage Parachute was MFG. Jan. 24, 1944.  The Parachute was made by "Irving Air Chute Co. Inc." Serial number is 42-513911.  This Chute does not have a "Placed in Service" date on it. It shows NO signs of ever being in service. Not a reproduction.  I believe it is made of nylon and as you can see by the picture it still fly's. This Parachute was taken over to Normandy in 2021 in one of the few D-Day planes still flying, to be jumped by a Army Special Forces Jump Master, but because of the  rules, that non-steerable Canopy could not be jumped, he was unable to do so.  My husbands (Army) dream was to give this Parachute the chance to full fill it's mission.  The WWII Chute was returned to us and since my husbands passing last year, I know he would want it to be bought by someone that enjoys the history that goes with it.
Everything I have said in this listing is true and this WWII Parachute deserves respect.
The last three pictures show the best correct colors, the others were taken outside.
