Auction is for a Circus Souvenir, 1 1/4 Inch Ring Describing Gilbert Reichert as the tallest man in the world at over 8 feet tall. Mr. Reichert was born in Cleveland Ohio in 1913 both his parents were over 6 feet.
Mr. Reichert played basketball for the House of David Basketball Team & Cleveland Clowns. In 1952 became the manager of the
Vagabond
Kings.
For 15 years he toured with various Circuses &
Carville's
until the birth of his third child in 1953. There are pictures in 1956 and 1958 of him with The Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus at the Madison Square Gardens engagement he was also in Cecil B DeMilles production "The Greatest Show on Earth" in 1952.
