Description:
Presented for your consideration is this lot of 8 antique trade cards. The Victorian trade cards all have colorful scenes on the front which depict different sports and pastimes from different countries. Countries represented are: Sweden, Ecuador, Denmark, Anglo Saxon, Algeria, Poland, India, and Portugal. Each shows three different scenes and all of the scenes are very detailed. In the lower left corner of each it is marked with "Arbuckle Bros." along with the date. Cards range in date from 1889 to 1893. On the back of each card is more information on the country pictured on the front and more advertising for Arbuckle Bros. Seven of the cards are advertising coffee while the remaining card is advertising Rhine Wine.
The cards are guaranteed to be old and all original. Would make a great addition to any advertising or Victorian trade card collection! Would look great as a framed collection!
Light edge wear. Denmark card has some creasing at the upper right corner. Very light staining is near the top edge of the Sweden and Anglo Saxon cards. Very light foxing on the back of the cards. No rips or tears. Overall in VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
Each measures 5" wide and 3" long.
