Description:
Presented for your consideration is this lot of 9 antique trade cards. The Victorian trade cards all have colorful scenes on the front which feature animals, children, or young adults doing a variety of activities. The largest card shows a dog holding a bouquet of flowers in his mouth and one of the smaller cards shows two children having a tea party with a cat. Another card shows a young boy launching a toy sailboat while talking to a girl and another shows two young girls sledding. On the sledding a dog can be seen laying next to the sleigh. Another card shows two girls walking along a path with a dog running along side them. In one corner of 4 of the cards there is advertising for the Woolson Spice Co. in Toledo, Ohio.
All of the pictures are printed in full color and are very detailed. Back side of each card has extensive advertising for Lion Coffee. The cards are guaranteed to be old and all original. Would make a great addition to any advertising or Victorian trade card collection! Would look great as a framed collection!
Light edge wear. Two cards have some light surface tearing on the back. Four of the cards have had the border trimmed off. Large dog card has the bottom left corner torn off and some light pencil markings on the back. Very light pink staining is on two of the cards and sledding card has some surface tearing around the edges of the front. Overall the lot is in GOOD-VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
Cards range in size with the largest measuring 7 3/8" long and 5 1/2" wide.
Smallest measures 4 1/2" long and 2 7/8" wide.
